the usual suspects, and a lot more.
the list is yt-dlp's (…). if a site is here but a link fails, the site probably changed and yt-dlp needs a bump.

about
convert.plvr.net is a self-hosted video downloader and remuxer. it runs on the plvr.net cluster. paste a link, choose a format, and the file downloads. it supports the sites that yt-dlp supports, including youtube. it is free and has no account.
yt-dlp reads the page and lists the available streams. if the site serves one complete file, it is passed through unchanged. if video and audio are separate streams, ffmpeg merges them while streaming, without re-encoding. audio conversion and gif output are the only cases where re-encoding happens.
files are never written to disk. they stream through memory and are discarded. links are not logged; the log records only the site name and whether the request succeeded. settings and the recent list are stored in this browser only.
paste a link anywhere on the page to start. drop a link onto the window. open /?url=… to pass a link directly. bookmarklet: convert this (drag it to the bookmarks bar).
